ABOUT US

Our family established Mr. Salsa's Mexican Restaurant in 1999 to provide great-tasting Mexican cuisine to the people of Oglesby and the surrounding communities. Now in our second generation, we continue to make all of our dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients and family recipes that have been passed down for years. Our menu includes burritos, enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, and our popular tavern style fried chicken. When it comes to mouthwatering meals and friendly service, it's no wonder.

  This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. A family owned business that has a friendly staff and good food. We love that the food is flavorful, plentiful and consistent. I’ve ordered several dishes and all were great. We’ve now eaten at 3 other Mexican restaurants and found that none can compare to Mr. Salsas. No need to shop around, just try the best!

  Stopped here while driving through Oglesby on I-39. Only a couple min drive off the main highway. It was an excellent find.  I had the taco combo with beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. My daughter had the soft shell chicken tacos. Plates came loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, rice, and beans.  Quick service (only three tables were used at the time), very clean tables, floors, etc.  I was very impressed. Food was excellent and priced well.  Would recommend.

  I stopped a local resident to ask for a recommendation and she pointed me to Mr. Salsa's. It was about 3 miles off the highway, but well worth the trip. I ordered a very specific burrito of carne asada, rice and pico. I thought the price was a tad high for $15 but when I recvd my fresh hot burro - it was well worth the price. The burro also came with quite a few chips and lots of salsa. The burro contained a lot of meat and fresh pico. I would definitely return there for another.

  Way better than Taco Bell, but more expensive. I had the steak Ranchero and my wife had the tostada enchilada plate. We're cheap skates so we only had water to drink, and the bill came out to just under $30. My plate was piping hot, and they gave us some chips and salsa to snack on while we waited for our meal. Don't eat at the bar because it's not as comfortable as a table. Can't really lean over your plate. All in all it was all good!
